Red Oak Flat Head Plugs - 3/4"

The 3/4" premium Red Oak Flat Head Plugs have tapered sides to ensure a tight fit. They are 1/4" thick and designed to fit flush in furniture and other woodworking applications. Flat head plugs are typically used by woodworkers during furniture and other wood project assembly. The flat head plug has tapered sides for easy insertion into screw holes. The bottom of each plug is slightly smaller than the diameter of the hole while the top of the plug is slightly larger. This design eliminates the risk of plugs not fitting due to hole size variances. These plugs allow for a seamless finish particularly if painting. Flat head plugs are also available in side grain for applications where aesthetics require the plugged hole to be less visible. Flat head plugs are not recommended for flooring applications. For flooring we recommend floor plugs which are specially designed for longevity.
